Syracuse Semester

This past December, Danny concluded his visiting teaching position at Syracuse University where he taught a course called Puntacana: The Modern, The Vernacular, the Sustainable. The course—which Danny has previously taught at Harvard Graduate School of Design—focuses on integrating sustainable design into the vernacular of contemporary architecture in a way that fits the lifestyle of a particular culture and uses Puntacana in the Dominican Republic as the sample community. The students all did outstanding work on their final projects. The jurors for the final review included real estate executives and architects from the Dominican Republic as well as the Santo Domingo Biennale Laureate, Oscar Imbert.
